In Marseille, a new scene is emerging, more edgy, more unbridled. Technopolice explodes onto the scene in 2024 after a few memorable concerts as mere spectators at L'Intermédiaire. The trigger: the Wild Wax Tour, which brought in mutant punk from Australia, Germany, and Spain – fast, absurd, joyfully unhinged. In this vein, Technopolice finds its voice. CHIEN DE LA CASSE, their debut album, alternates between punk blasts and no-wave slowdowns, with distorted guitars and 16-bit synths à la Gee Tee or Mario Kart. The French lyrics flirt with the absurd and social commentary, carried by raw energy. Recorded live in the countryside with the Pollen Session team (members of Crache), the album eschews clicks and artifice: everything is played together, head-on. The result is direct, tense, alive – a record that doesn't try to resurrect the past, but to amplify the present. Marseille, 2025: things are stirring, and Technopolice is leading the charge.
