Canaxis 5 is an experimental attempt that mixes ambient, world music, and the Can bassist becomes one of the first users of sampling, 10 years before everyone else, but he also used radio snippets, an old obsession of his. For this first solo album, Czukay worked with producer and sound engineer Rolf Dammer. Only 1000 copies were pressed for Germany; this re-release allows all fans of Can and music to get their hands on this anthology album.
