Canaxis 5 is an experimental attempt that mixes ambient, world music, and the Can bassist becomes one of the first users of sampling, 10 years before everyone else, but he also used radio snippets, an old obsession of his. For this first solo album, Czukay worked with producer and sound engineer Rolf Dammer.
