After six years of existence and nearly a hundred dates, TARSIUS is releasing its very first album! TARSIUS is a group of 6 musicians: a singer, a saxophonist, a trombonist, a keyboardist, a bassist, and a drummer. All are composers, creating music that reflects them, eclectic and generous. They have explored all styles on stage, from afrobeat to electro, passing through rock and pop to better serve their songs. Yannick Walet, the voice of the group, influenced by the finest writers of French song from Brel to Bashung and Johnny Cash, interprets poetic texts - which are so many love stories, sensual incantations, and odes to life - all served in a 70's atmosphere revisited with an electrorock twist. TARSIUS surprises with its originality, sense of melody, overall approach to music, and the energy it exudes on stage. Their abundant universe takes on its full dimension, the intervention of the instruments is scripted, it can set the scene or engage in dialogue with the singer, and their danceable music elicits immediate audience approval.
