Tamar Aphek is one of the leading figures in contemporary rock on the Israeli rock scene. Crowned "goddess of guitar in Israel" (Timeout Tel-Aviv), she is the creator of the music festival "Besides That" and contributed to the soundtrack of the film "One Week And A Day," which won the Gan Foundation Award at the Cannes Film Festival. During the writing and recording process of her new album, Aphek became fascinated by the idea of combining sounds and musical genres in an atypical and new way. To achieve exactly what she wanted, Tamar chose to produce the album herself and turned to Daniel Schlett (War on Drugs, DIIV) for mixing and Greg Calbi (John Lennon, Bob Dylan, David Bowie) for mastering. To capture the band live, Aphek recorded All Bets Are Off after several months of touring, primarily at the legendary New York studio Daptone Records.
