Evolution

Description

The vinyl reissue of the first album by the cult Australian band Tamam Shud! Released in 1969, Evolution is the first of the band’s 2 albums. Originally from Australia, the band dropped their first name, Four Strangers, to become The Sunset and finally Tamam Shud in 1967. Evolving from instrumental surf rock to cosmic psychedelic prog rock in the late 60s, the band enjoyed immense popularity in Australia, where they played at the biggest festivals. Tamam Shud is now considered a monument of Australian rock, in the footsteps of Pink Floyd, Cream or Grateful Dead.
