Tacoblaster is the garage pop toy box where Tom Caussade keeps his best melodies. Launched in 2021 with a series of albums as inspired as they were unnoticed, the multi-instrumentalist from Bordeaux evolves with the power pop touch of the 90s and influences of garage rock and amp, and surf punk. After releasing a proper first EP, Tacoblaster (2023), with Flippin' Freaks Records, the project solidified into a live lineup full of energy, fuzz, and spring reverb. The new trio is approaching their first studio-produced album, Royal Color (2024), a concentrate of power pop songs with unforgettable choruses, saturated guitars, and a certain nostalgia that shines through Tom Caussade's melodies. Just two months after their last release, the Bordeaux trio announces Chew Goo Gum-Like Substance (2024), a fourth album that is lo-fi, spontaneous, and monstrously sunny, released in the middle of August, like a donut on the beach, under the labels Howlin' Banana, Flippin' Freaks, Les Disques Du Paradis, and Nothing Is Mine.
