An Introduction To Syd Barrett is a re-release of the 2010 compilation that for the first time brought together tracks by Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett on a single album. David Gilmour, who collaborated on Syd Barrett's two solo albums by co-producing The Madcap Laughs and producing Barrett, is the executive producer of this album. Damon Iddins and Andy Jackson (Astoria Studios) remixed five tracks, including "Octopus", "She Took A Long Cool Look", "Dominoes" and "Here I Go". David Gilmour added a bass part to the latter track.
