With a career of over 40 years and 15 albums to their name, the band has established itself as a reference in psychedelic rock and their music sounds more timeless than ever today. Their new album The Beggar is scheduled for June 23 on Mute/[PIAS]. Continuously renewing themselves, Swans are evolving their sound towards a less chaotic music, but no less stirring, based on more classic songwriting. Composed and produced by Michael Gira himself, The Beggar was recorded with the usual collaborators of the frontman, as well as with his other band, Angels of Light. Among the guests, we will find Ben Frost, as well as Jennifer Gira, Lucy Kruger, and Laura Carbone among the backing vocalists.
