According to Richter: "The interpreter is truly a performer who strictly carries out the intentions of the composer. He adds nothing to what is already present in the work. If he is talented, he allows us to grasp the essence of the work, which is in itself a matter of artistic genius. He must not impose himself on the music, dominate it, but rather dissolve his talent within it." This extraordinary approach is clearly visible in this program.
