Suuns And Jerusalem In My Heart

The best of Montreal's underground scene brought together for a unique album. The project was born in 2012. The five musicians Ben Shemie, Liam O'Neil, Max Henry, Joseph Yarmush (SUUNS) and their long-time friend, Radwan Ghazi Moumneh of JERUSALEM IN MY HEART started working together and recording a few tracks in a studio in Montreal. Despite the effectiveness of this session, the two groups continued their respective projects, setting aside their collaboration idea. In the summer of 2014, everything was back on track. The artists finished recording and mixing the vocals in October of the same year. As Shemie himself says, "This is not a SUUNS album, this is not a JERUSALEM IN MY HEART album. It is truly the fruit of the collaboration of five musicians who spent a lot of time on tour listening to music together." The result is an incredible album blending analog synths, Arabic influences, and a great electronic sensibility.
