A new wave of supercharged power blues from Supersonic Blues Machine is not just a band, it's a state of mind, a brotherhood, a melting pot of ideas with people on the same wavelength bringing their own talent to create music with a very organic spirit. It was in Los Angeles, in 2012, that Texas guitarist and singer Lance Lopez and producer Fabrizio Grossi laid the foundations for this exciting new project! Throughout his prolific career as a producer and bassist, Fabrizio has worked with the cream of musicians: from Steve Vai to Tina Arena, Nina Hagen to Alice Cooper, and also Glenn Hughes, Dave Navarro, George Clinton, Joe Bonamassa, Leslie West, Zakk Wylde, Ice T, Slash, and Paul Stanley, to name just a few... The latest addition to the family was the legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff, who, along with Fabrizio, had Steve Lukather as a mutual friend. For this new album, everything is said in the title: "Californisoul." This is exactly the soundtrack that was missing for a road trip between Los Angeles and San Francisco in 1971. The album is clearly a sequel to their magnificent first opus that thrilled critics: blues, rock, reggae, and soul, it's all there in abundance to celebrate the joy of living! Among the impressive list of collaborators that reflects the quality of the SBM adventure, we find Billy F. Gibbons, Walter Trout, Robben Ford, and Eric Gales, as well as Steve Lukather, all closely connected to the core trio. The idea was to involve close friends in the record to convey this special and authentic relationship and to share the secrets and inspiration together!
