Super Besse, the new glacial post-punk/coldwave wind from the East. They sing in Russian, come from Belarus, are signed to the Latvian label I Love You Records, and their name is the same as that of a station in the Massif Central. Formed in 2013, the trio Super Besse released their first album 63610* in 2015 and immediately became one of the most promising bands on the coldwave scene before building a solid live reputation by touring Europe on a long run that included notable appearances at the Europavox and Repperbahn festivals. Tales of nocturnal adventures, the band tells in their second album La Nuit* of the feelings and beauty one can observe when surrounded by deep darkness and seized by the melancholy that emerges from it. Post-punk gems at the heart of icy coldwave, La Nuit* fascinates as much for its sound and melodies, crafted and polished to evoke the hardness and coldness of a diamond.
