Théo Cholbi aka Süeür presents his debut album ‘Ananké’. After a self-titled debut EP released in 2020, the writer and composer sharpens his aim by bringing new flavors into the mix, blending rap, electronic music and rock, unsettling spoken words and almost pop choruses in the service of a disconcerting but coherent record, stylish and unmistakably personal. Produced by Prinzly (Damso, Hamza, Bonnie Banane), Ananké is an album that is as much felt as it is listened to, and one that reveals itself over time. Strange diction, monochrome tensions bent by subtle inflections that merge with the unsettling magma unfolding beneath: ‘Ananké’ is more of a universe than an album, flirting with rap but sometimes with pop, with rock or cold-wave, stretching quasi-cinematic atmospheres to infinity.
