Before the release of their first EP, Demolition War, in late 1981 on Spiderleg Records, Subhumans released three demos (Parts 1 to III), recorded lo-fi in their hometown of Warminster at the Old Bell and Youth Centre. These were collected and released on a cassette on Dick's Bluurg label in early 1981. 24 tracks include songs that went on to become the first EP and the legendary album The Day the Country Died. The album is raw and free of any production. Uncut and ready to listen to, it is absolutely essential. It also includes three previously unreleased songs that Subhumans never re-recorded. The album is presented in a gatefold sleeve with lyrics and a poster featuring a collage of photos and fanzine interviews from that very early period of Subhumans.
