Stygian Stride

Description

CD format in a mini-LP gatefold sleeve with glossy printing. LP format on audiophile vinyl with glossy printing and MP3 coupon. Both formats are limited to 500 copies each!! Stygian Stride is a New York musician, Jimy SeiTang, in the vein of NNCK, a member of Psychic Ills and now mainly with Rhyton. For this first album, he turns away from rock toward a cloudy electro, recalling Gas, Mille Plateaux or Chain Reaction, with a few references also to Manuel Göttsching and Tangerine Dream. Instead of composing and recording on a computer, SeiTang gathered many old analog pieces of equipment, placing himself at the crossroads of mental experimentation and mechanical music.
