Stuart Moxham returns with Winter Sun, his first solo album in decades, extending the minimalist elegance that characterized Young Marble Giants: stripped-down arrangements, subtle melodies, and restrained emotion. He entrusts his compositions to American producer Dave Trumfio (The Mekons), who selects and shapes the tracks with a spirit of simplicity; mixed in Los Angeles and then refined in Valencia, the album exists in two complementary versions. Sparse yet expressive, intimate without fully revealing itself, Winter Sun confirms his art of economy: a music that trusts as much in silence as in sound, and whose melodies linger long after listening.
