Acid Jazz Records inaugurates its new series "Jazz Sessions" with a landmark album by Steve White, the renowned drummer (Oasis) and key figure in Paul Weller's universe, who delivers his first project as a leader under the name Steve White Trio. Known as much for his role in The Style Council as for his jazz and soul collaborations (Jazz Renegades, Trio Valore), Steve White returns to his favorite label with Soul Drums, an elegant tribute to his jazz roots and cinematic influences, recorded with his faithful accomplice Chris Hague. Driven by the track Changes and a subtle reinterpretation of My Ever Changing Moods, the album establishes itself as an ideal introduction to this new series, complemented by a visual aesthetic inspired by the mid-century.
