Girls in the grass

Description

Alongside the reissue of Down On The Road By The Beach, an album of previously unreleased recordings made by Steve Hiett between 1986 and 1997 will also be released, titled Girls In The Grass. Ten Balearic tracks of incomparable beauty. Light and shadows define Hiett’s music. Here he speaks to us in a deep language, both comforting and familiar. Girls In The Grass reintroduces the Electric Blues so characteristic of Hiett’s sound. He worked here with co-artistic director Simon Kentish, both driven by a carefree groove, and they succeeded in creating an album of magnificent and touching innocence. 4-page booklet with photographs by S. Hiett accompanied by notes.
