Dancing The Line - Anne Marie Beretta

Description

Wewantsounds is pleased to announce the reissue of the album Dancing the Line by English musician, composer, and arranger Steve Beresford, originally released in 1985 on the French label nato. Steve Beresford draws inspiration from fashion designer Anne Marie Beretta, accompanied by David Toop (flute, guitar) as well as Alan Hacker (clarinet) and Kazuko Hohki from the group Frank Chickens on lyrics by Andrew Brenner. The music blends sophisticated ambient pop with synth-funk driven by the recently released Yamaha RX11 drum machine and elements of experimental music. The album is now highly sought after, with the tracks "Tendance" and "Comfortable Gestures" having become underground classics. This is the first time the album is being reissued, in partnership with nato. The reissue includes audio remastered by Translab, the original gatefold cover, and a 4-page booklet with notes by Jean Rochard (nato).
