A World Of Peace Must Come is a missing chapter in BRIAN WILSON’s career. This album was recorded in 1969 by STEPHEN JOHN KALINICH - the legendary BEACH BOYS songwriter - at the famous band leader’s home. But the recording was quickly lost and remained unreleased until now. After 40 years, the album finally resurfaces, restoring not only KALINICH’s place in BEACH BOYS history, but above all in the politico-cultural landscape of late-1960s Los Angeles. A committed activist in the anti-war movement, KALINICH could have written turbulent songs like most angry young Americans were doing at the time. But instead, he simply writes spiritual lyrics, very “peace & love,” in total harmony with the society of the era. And this “peace” atmosphere is not only conveyed by the lyrics. On some tracks, there are nature sounds, such as the chirping of crickets or barking dogs. The album also includes a booklet with anecdotes written by ALAN BOYD, the BEACH BOYS archivist, unreleased photos, and all the lyrics. An album of psychotic poetry.
