Description

Inventors of Rocskaroots, EJECTES arrived on the French scene in 1988. Blending Ska, Reggae, Punk, Rhythm & Blues, and Dub, they draw on whatever they like from different styles to create an original and explosive cocktail. Combining Jamaican music and Anglo-Saxon rock with French lyrics that are by turns committed, poetic, and humorous, subtly employed. They are also celebrating thirty years of the band's existence, which, in addition to its discography, has performed in some twenty countries. DUB is not really new to Steff Tej & EJECTES; in fact, they have been experimenting with it since their first albums by remixing certain tracks from each album. But this time, the DUB project is gaining momentum within the band, which is embarking on the creation of a first maxi-single dedicated entirely to this musical style. At the crossroads of roots dub and contemporary dub, this original approach gives birth to this new EJECTES opus. Combining tape echo and digital effects, Steff Tej's crew treats us to a selection of perfectly mastered dub tracks, whose themes range from Climate to the promotion of rural territories. Themes which, like the different musical styles used, ultimately converge to produce an explosive version!
