Compositions by Steen Rasmussen and Leo Minax: Parangolé - Melankolia - Haja Coracâo - Evergreen - Na Lapa - Pas de Deux - Presença - Prazer - Circular 102 - Boa Noite Presença follows in the footsteps of previous projects by the Steen Rasmussen Quinteto: a mix of Brazilian saudade and Scandinavian melancholy, all integrated into a Brazilian/European/South American Jazz. By inviting Brazilian drummer Paulo Braga (Milton Nascimento, Tom Jobim, Elis Regina…), who is considered "the father of Brazilian drumming," the Danish pianist fulfills one of his dearest dreams. Brazilian singer, composer, and guitarist Leo Minax (from the famous "Club Da Esquina" musicians collective in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in the 70s and 80s) composed the 11 tracks on the album with Steen Rasmussen.
