Description
Pretzel Logic is one of the best albums by this unclassifiable group with a neurotic attention to detail, sound (ahead in this field by a good ten years compared to its contemporaries), instrumental perfection, and cryptic, funny, and biting lyrics. The studio musicians (the cream of Los Angeles) begin to appear from this album, on which the music becomes more jazz, while remaining pop, creating a formidable and highly original mix. The perfect example, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number," which opens the album, was one of Steely Dan's biggest hits.
