Benjamin needed a bright alter ego that would allow him to put into music the buried emotions deep within his shell. Stav then revealed himself with his first EP "Musique de supermarché," like a hero escaped not from a Marvel film, but rather from a movie by Michel Gondry or Wes Anderson. In this latest project, Stav arrives with a strong and direct concept, filled with punchlines, humor, and self-deprecation, where he narrates a dysfunctional daily life but in which we are happy to be sad. Here, feelings remain hidden in a drawer while the drinks keep flowing. For one evening, we climb onto the bar and feel like the kings of the world. Life doesn't stop when an EP freezes, and the world in which Benjamin operates has changed significantly since the writing of this project. It is on this foundation that the artist returns with "Contretemps," an album that intertwines emotional cycles evolving up and down: Stav invites us into his shell with an introspective project featuring warm pop sounds.
