With a title like Cannibal, it's no surprise that this 2007 album shows Static X at their most... bloodthirsty. Singer Wayne Static put it bluntly: "I think this is the most metal album we've ever made, and probably the most brutal." Cannibal is the first Static X album to feature numerous guitar solos, heralding the return of founding guitarist Koichi Fukuda; and the change of producer (from Ulrich Wild to John Travis) undoubtedly contributed to the band's return to the more intense sound inaugurated by Wisconsin Death Trip. The album charted in the Top 40, and "No Submission" appeared on the soundtrack of Saw 3. In short, a strong comeback after the chaotic lineup and style changes of Start a War. Cannibal receives its very first vinyl reissue here with a bonus track ("Light It Up").
