Formed in 1995 and propelled into the spotlight with their signature song 'It's Been a While', the quartet Staind reunited after a 5-year hiatus for unforgettable festival performances, from which this live album 'It's Been Awhile' is taken. The band consists of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. Over their career, the band has released seven studio albums and eight Top 10 singles, selling over 15 million albums worldwide. 'Break The Cycle', released in 2001 and certified 5 times platinum by the RIAA, featured the hit single "It's Been Awhile", one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history, spending 20 weeks as a number 1 hit. In 2019, after a five-year hiatus, Staind reunited for unforgettable festival performances and a hometown show at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, where their upcoming album, 'Live: It's Been Awhile' was recorded.
