Sosyete '25 announces the release of its debut album, Yaygara. A vibrant and rhythmic journey through love, liberation and that insatiable curiosity that fuels desire, humor and social connection. Bringing together singer-songwriter Merve Erdem (Kit Sebastian), guitarist and producer Glenn Fallows and producer/multi-instrumentalist Paul Elliott, the trio fuses Mediterranean disco-pop, cosmopolitan funk and poetry to create a sound that is both captivating and instinctually vital.Taking its name from the Turkish word meaning "agitation" or "turmoil," Yaygara is steeped in movement.The album explores love as a source of liberation: playful, sensual, humorous and marked by great sincerity.A strong rhythmic identity: repetition, used as a ritual, invites intense communion on the dance floor.Notable influences range from Blondie to Baris Manço, as well as ESG, Liquid Liquid and the great names of Mediterranean pop, weaving a bridge between cult post-punk funk and the Turkish psychedelic heritage.The creative axis of Istanbul-London-Brighton-Suffolk gives the album a decidedly cross-border identity.
