On October 13, 2023, "The Louder The Better", the new and sixth album by the "queen of raggamuffin", Soom T, will be released. Combining live studio recordings and more digital compositions, this album is the result of 3 years of recording work, from the first sessions in Brazil during the 2020 pandemic, to its release this fall. Entirely self-produced via her label Renegade Masters with Kunta as executive producer, Soom T keeps a close circle with whom she has experienced everything, to offer us a new Reggae/Dub gem that is more pop and more radiant than usual.While "The Louder The Better" is decidedly roots in its influences, the tracks "Like A Dog" composed by the French band Irie Ites and "Walk the Earth" performed by the famous English bass/drum duo Mafia & Fluxy, add a subtle touch of digital melodies, as if to vary the pleasures throughout the album mixed by Mista Maff and mastered by Simon Capony at Studio Basalte."Hail to the Watchman", which will surely be one of the favorite tracks for traditional reggae lovers, was composed by Kunta in collaboration with Green Teddy, both of whom participated in the composition and produced the album "The Arch" released in 2017.Finally, with this new reggae album, Soom T remains faithful to what matters most to her, covering a multitude of subjects of paramount interest to her, from corruption, omnipresent in society, to the emptiness of the political world, through the urgent need to raise awareness of reality.
