Bridge

Description

The Bridge marked Sonny Rollins' first album after his self-imposed three-year musical exile. Living in Manhattan's Lower East Side, he was often seen at night on the nearby Williamsburg Bridge, engaged in rigorous practice. The album representing Rollins' return was entirely recorded in a piano-less quartet format, with Jim Hall on guitar, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Ben Riley on drums. 180 GRAM BLUE COLOR VINYL - THE COMPLETE LP + 2 BONUS TRACKS - Contains new liner notes specially prepared by writer BRIAN MORTON of the Penguin Guide to Jazz and by the prestigious JAZZ MAGAZINE of Paris.
