Description
This box set includes all the quartet recordings made by Sonny Rollins and the great drummer Philly Joe Jones. It features the complete albums "Tenor Madness", on which John Coltrane expanded the group to a quintet on the title track, and "Newk's Time". Rollins and Jones would only record together on one other occasion, during a Miles Davis session in 1953 that brought together Sonny and Charlie Parker (this time on tenor).
