CD 6 tracks, with 8-page booklet Includes "Cross my heart". Young, Son Little (Aaron Livingston) listens to his parents' dusty vinyl records, learns the saxophone and piano. Moving to New York, he discovers hip hop, basketball, art, and soft drugs. Moving to Philadelphia, he discovers the legendary crew the Roots, plays music with them, and his voice appears on one of their albums. ("Sleep" on the album "Undun"). He also collaborates with the famous producer RJD2. He says he writes everywhere, all the time, finding his inspiration on the train, in his car, on the street, at the supermarket, or with his children. Sometimes the ideas are fresh. Sometimes a melody emerges from his past, a simple spark. He does not limit himself to anything. He now has the opportunity to reveal the spectrum of his art, brilliantly demonstrating the connections between the various facets of what is called "pop music." Moving from exuberant rock like Prince, to a clever groove like Curtis Mayfield, Son Little is an artist imbued with the blends and contradictions that make the greatness of American pop.
