Description

In early 2013, the internet went wild for SOHN, noticed for his remixes for Rhye and Disclosure, his productions for Banks and Kwabs, and especially his EPs which unveiled his hypnotic electronica. Behind the German-sounding pseudonym was in fact a British producer exiled in Vienna, ready to conquer the world with a magnificent debut album, *Tremors*, featuring captivating compositions blending futuristic pop and dreamy electro, echoing those of a certain James Blake. Two years later, SOHN swapped Vienna for the warmth of Los Angeles, but the Austrian influence still resonated, as *Rennen* means 'Run' in German. And the Briton resumed his crazy nocturnal rhythm, much like for his previous work, spending several months alone in a studio in California, recording until the early hours. Experimenting with new recording methods, he also explored very specific new instruments for each track to highlight rhythms and melodies.
