Le Nouveau Groupe De Connan Mockasin & La Priest.Soft Hair, the result of the collaboration between Connan Mockasin and Sam Dust (LA Priest / Late Of The Pier), announces the release of its first self-titled album on October 28, 2016, on the Weird World label (a division of Domino).The recording of the album took place over the last five years, alongside the respective solo careers of Connan and Sam.Following the dissolution of Late of the Pier, for which Connan opened in 2009 (thus allowing the duo's first meeting), Sam Dust undertakes to travel to the Far East, Africa, and all over Europe, dedicating his time to inventing his own instruments, before reappearing in 2015 under the name of LA Priest with the release of his first solo album "Inji".Connan Mockasin, for his part, releases two albums and tours the world, while collaborating with artists such as James Blake, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Vince Staples.The songs that make up the album were written and recorded in a wide range of locations, a new way of working for both Connan and Sam, established from the beginning of the creative process.The result is an album that immerses the listener in an exotic world blending sounds that are sometimes familiar or strange, in any case highly addictive.
