The famous Puerto Rican guitarist has a history of collaborations with David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Paul McCartney. This collaboration introduced a variety of new genres and influences, including funk, soul, and R&B. After recording the album entirely in New York, the band entered a new phase of their career, allowing them to break into the American market. The album's promotional tour spanned the entire American continent, and the album sold a million copies worldwide.
