Happy Birthday

Description

Behind Sneaks is Eva Moolchan from Washington, DC. Happy Birthday is her fourth album, the third for Merge Records, since the project was formed in 2014. With astrological narratives and poetry filtered through a riot grrl spirit, punchy bass lines and infectious rhythms, Eva Moolchan asks all the questions but invites the listener to find their own answers. Continuing the collaboration begun last year with sound engineer Carlos Hernandez and legendary producer Jacknife Lee on the album Highway Hypnosis, Eva Moolchan felt free to unleash her energy and explore more elaborate melodies than ever before. On "Mars in Virgo", an electropop ballad filled with synths and 80s rhythms, she sings about having grown up and needing to grow even more. Put on your headphones and let Sneaks take you on an unforgettable self-discovery adventure that will have you humming for days!
