The idea of Daniel Foggin, Smote has apparently evolved of its own accord. "I had the idea for years," he says, "I love Pärson Sound, Träd, Gräs Och Stenar, traditional Irish folk, and all kinds of drone and folk music." It was simply a matter of finding the opportunity to sit down and record. A very strong influence affecting Smote is fantasy as a genre, and the atmosphere that can be created through storytelling.
