Slow Meadow is the ambient project of American Matt Kidd. This vinyl edition includes two EPs, one on each side: By the Ash Tree and Upstream Dream, recorded and released in 2020 and 2021, respectively. To connect these compositions, Matt Kidd composed new transitional pieces from one song to the next, allowing the tracks to be experienced in a coherent and harmonious flow. Gentle electronics, conveying otherworldly tones and, at times, a sense of playful mischief, subtly shift expectations and bring discovery and wonder at every turn. With a piano foundation, string orchestration, and an ever-evolving electronic palette, Slow Meadow crosses the boundaries of neoclassical and minimalist electronica, offering a deeply personal and transcendent experience.
