After a first LP, Dead Already (2018), acclaimed by the press, and a two-year tour in France, the United States, Canada, and Europe, Slim PAUL returns with Good For You, a second album resolutely more optimistic, as exemplified by its second single, 'That Line'. SLIM PAUL began his journey fifteen years ago, spending time with a guitar slung over his shoulder. First on the streets of Toulouse, then on the world's biggest stages (Woodstock, SXSW, Sziget, Boomtown Fair...) with his Blues Hip Hop band SCARECROW. For 15 years, Slim Paul's bag grew heavier, filled with stories, notes, chords, roads, and encounters. In 2013, arriving at this crossroads, he took a solitary path that led him back to the United States, the birthplace of the music that has fascinated him since he was young: the Blues. A religion for someone who inherited his nickname in homage to the bluesmen of the 1930s. As a fervent practitioner, he learned the stories, legends, anecdotes, and quotes. He draws inspiration from these illustrious preachers; his guitar becomes his soulmate for recounting his angers, his demons, and those of his generation. — Far from the dark lyrics of the previous LP, Good for You delivers a message full of hope and love: 'Love is what you get when you keep on groovin'.' With more pop arrangements on which Slim plays much more: bass, piano, percussion... Between folk, rock, blues, and bottleneck, Slim Paul invites you to this communion full of optimism, like a wild resurrection, as if to find that broken link after a chaotic year.
