Slade were unstoppable throughout the 70s, becoming one of Europe's biggest bands, releasing 6 hit albums, including three UK No. 1s, a string of 17 consecutive Top 20 singles and their hits which are synonymous with the glam era. First released in 1983, 'The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome' features the band performing a series of hits such as "Run Runaway", "My Oh My" and "Ready To Explode". Digitally remastered and extended edition of Slade's 1983 album including six bonus tracks, among them remixes and non-album B-sides. After Slade's legendary performance at the Reading Festival in 1980, the band's career was back on solid ground in terms of media interest, sold-out shows and a major contract with RCA. All they needed then was a hit single and "Noddy Holder" and "Jim Lea" duly provided a pair; the enormous ballad "My Oh My" and the Celtic-flavoured rock jig "Run Runaway". Between the two singles, in December 1983, the album 'The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome' was released. It was an impressive display of pumped-up, high-tech Rock-Pop and was a huge success across Europe, especially in Scandinavia. When repackaged and renamed 'Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply', the album also made the Top 40 in the USA, setting Slade up for a new assault on the American market.
