Light From The Dark

Skeletal Family consists of: Anneka Latta (vocals), Stan Greenwood (guitars), Roger "Trotwood" Nowell (bass), Ian "Karl Heinz" Taylor (keyboards / saxophone) and Adrian "Ozzy" Osadzenko (drums and percussion). Formed in 1982 with vocalist Anne Marie Hurst, their debut album Burning Oil topped the UK Indie charts for three weeks in autumn 1984, outperforming contemporary northern English bands like The Smiths and New Order. The band recorded seven sessions for BBC Radio One, including for John Peel, Janice Long and Kid Jensen. They signed with Chrysalis Records in 1986. Their discography includes the studio albums Futile Combat, Sakura, Songs of Love Hope and Despair and Day of All Days. The current lineup reunited in 2021, with the addition of vocalist Anneka Latta. Since then, the band has performed live at Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Darker Waves Festival in Huntington Beach, California, as well as various dates in the UK and USA. Their latest album, Light From The Dark, recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn studio, has received rave reviews.
