Ben Chasny, high priest of contemplative folk, returns with his project Six Organs Of Admittance and a new album, Burning The Threshold. Across these 9 tracks, the composer offers an insightful view of the world while maintaining a certain distance and meditative reflection, which he conveys through a primarily acoustic album. Although he created it solo, like the majority of his projects, he did call upon some talents such as Alex Nielsen, Haley Fohr, and Damon and Naomi on vocals, Chris Corsano for percussion, and even attempts a duet with Ryley Walker. Thanks to extremely refined and masterful guitar playing, the result is luminous, and Burning The Threshold gently and spiritually transports us into Ben Chasny's very particular universe.
