The return of the pop soul group made in the UK after eight years of absence! First studio album by Simply Red in eight years, "Big Love" will precede the world tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mick Hucknall's band next autumn, a tour that will notably stop at the Zénith in Paris on November 17. Since "Life" in 1995, Simply Red had not released an album composed solely of new tracks. These twelve new songs were written by the charismatic Mick Hucknall and produced by his studio partner, Andy Wright (Eurythmics, Jeff Beck, Dave Stewart, Simple Minds...). After the musical shift that was the album "Stay" (2007), the first single from "Big Love," "Shine On," suggests a return to the roots, namely to "blue-eyed soul," this blend of typically British melodies and characteristic rhythms of American black music, which has made Simply Red's global success for several decades.
