Vibraphonist, producer, composer, and bandleader, Simon Moullier has distinguished himself as one of the most prominent voices of his generation. Born in Paris, and having studied classical percussion and drums during his formative years, Simon bought his first mallets in high school. Quickly becoming recognized for his fresh approach and sound on the instrument, Moullier went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music, followed by a master’s degree from the Thelonious Monk Institute. Since then, he has shared the stage with jazz luminaries such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Miguel Zenon, Gerald Clayton, Logan Richardson, Jimmy Heath, and Jeff Tain Watts. Dayna Stephens, Bob Sheppard. Simon is an active touring musician, having performed in many of the most respected jazz clubs and festivals, including Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, Sunside in Paris, the International Jazz Day Festival in Cuba and Russia. Blue Whale in Los Angeles, Portugal, Spain, UK, Italy, Sweden and Panama. After a first album released in 2020, he returns with this new recording conceived in the USA.
