Known for being the label home to names such as Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Robben Ford or Robert Cray, Provogue, the bluesy division of Mascot Records, is particularly pleased to announce the signing of Simo. A young Nashville band made up of JD Simo (vocals / guitar), Adam Abrashoff (drums) and Elad Shapiro (bass), this is a power trio combining the power of classic blues with dazzling jazz fusion improvisations, with touches of R&B and psychedelia. All of it performed with that little extra typical of bands from the southern United States. It is also interesting to note that Simo conceived this record at the Big House, in Macon, Georgia, the former haunt of the Allman Brothers Band until 1973. The dream place to find inspiration. In addition, JD actually recorded all of the tracks on Let Love Show The Way with Duane Allman’s 1957 gold-top Les Paul! The very same one heard on the first two Allman Bros albums and which also delivered the unforgettable riff of Derek & the Dominoes’ Layla! From then on, one can guess - like Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes or Wilco's Nels Cline - JD did not share such an honor by chance and that we are indeed in the presence of an exceptional musician.
