Silas Short, originally from Chicago, had a difficult childhood as a biracial child in suburban Milwaukee, but he found comfort and inspiration in music through his older brother who played drums in the church gospel band. After Silas shattered a bone in his left hand while delivering pizzas and a doctor told him he would never be able to play guitar again, he latched onto the pain and developed a guitar playing method he describes as "Liquid Style." The seven tracks that make up Drawing are the result of Silas's work, who took advantage of the 2020 lockdown to discover his true sound. With an honest and vulnerable sound, Silas hopes to honor his biracial heritage and create a safe space for others like him.
