Sigh embarks on a spiritual journey with their new album, Goh-ka. Formed in the late 1980s, Sigh is one of the pioneers of Japanese black metal. Since their cult debut album Scorn Defeat (1993), the band has continually pushed the boundaries of the genre by blending black metal, psychedelic rock, progressive elements, and classical music, while maintaining their extreme roots. With Goh-ka, Sigh delivers an ambitious and deeply personal work, inspired by the Kuso-zu, Buddhist representations of the decomposition of the human body, which question the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death.
