The Japanese black metal legends Sigh were formed between 1989 and 1990. Their first cult album, Scorn Defeat, was released in 1993 on Euronymous's Deathlike Silence Productions label, and over the course of their successive releases, the band has established itself as one of the most respected metal exports from Japan. Throughout a journey traversing the strange and the psychedelic, incorporating a wide range of influences and experiments, Sigh has asserted itself as a major creative force in the avant-garde scene while maintaining its old school roots. Continuously exploring experimental territories to weave interconnected and distorted soundscapes, Dread Dreams moves away from pure black metal to become a true immersion in psychedelia and rock. This Frank Zappa-inspired odyssey acts as a direct precursor to the acclaimed Imaginary Sonicscape. This special double disc edition of Scenario IV: Dread Dreams includes a second CD featuring the rearranged album with new parts and previously unreleased recordings made in 2025 by Mirai Kawashima.
