The career of Sieges Even has not been smooth. After the first two albums, the band experienced its first change of singer. On the albums "Sophisticated" (1995) and "Uneven" (1997), the Holzwarth brothers (bass and drums) continued to keep the band going. But they found themselves with guitarist Markus Steffen and recruited the remarkable singer Arno Menses, who was previously active as a drummer. With this lineup, the band won the hearts of prog fans, but also those of demanding metalheads. Once again, Sieges Even was in the right place at the right time. "The Art Of Navigating By The Stars" was recorded at Black Solaris studio by Uwe Lulis (also known today as a guitarist for Accept) and was released on InsideOut Music, then distributed by SPV. This was followed by dream reviews, also for the subsequent tour. Of course, releasing a vinyl in 2005 was out of the question, so this reissue is already awaited by many fans. But the CD has also been "out of print" for a few years, so action was needed in that context as well. The artwork for the double LP in gatefold was created by the original artist Thomas Ewerhard, and the audio material was remastered separately for vinyl and CD. The concept of "The Art Of Navigating By The Stars" still excites today, as does the music, which is both complicated and hard, but also full of emotion. In this sense, Sieges Even were simply the great German masters.
