Very few South African musicians known beyond their borders are as talented and productive as SIBOT. Long before being crowned best South African DJ in 2002, this multi-talented DJ/Producer had already taken part in numerous collaborative and revolutionary projects. Now a well-known name on the local and international electronic scene, SIBOT has become a reference and a true benchmark for young South African musicians/DJs entering the arena. In 1998, he built the foundation of his career alongside the SA Hip Hop Band Max Normal, then participated in various original creations such as Playdoe, The Real Estate Agents, Closet Snare, The Constructus Corporation and Chromoscience. As a true music icon, SIBOT then dedicated his career to pushing the boundaries of the possible while always keeping his original ideals in mind. His live performances always tend to blur the lines between Hip-Hop music and electronic music, deploying a universe where live and DJ merge. SIBOT's unclassifiable style has been featured on most festival stages in South Africa, but his performances captivate all audiences, whether at rowdy block parties or the most exclusive private showcases. On an international scale, SIBOT graces the stages of major European festivals such as Sonar (Spain), Pukkelpop (Belgium), Printemps de Bourges (France), Paleo & Elektron (Switzerland), Glastonbury (UK) and Splash (Germany). He then hit the road, intoxicating European clubs with his sets, even extending the journey to the island of Réunion. It is difficult to find other musicians with such talent and determination. Whether solo or in collaboration, SIBOT stands out as one of the rare artists paving the way for South African music in all its forms. After all these years of producing sound, Sibot decided to release his 1st album in 2005 on the famous Cape Town label, African Dope. Featuring 21 tracks that trace his rich universe: Jazz, Hip Hop, Electronica, pop. In 2007 he released his album ''In with Old'' on the Jarring Effects label.
