Rising Sun - Front Cover
Shuteen Erdenebaatar

Rising Sun

Description

A moving, adventurous, melodic, virtuosic first album with great dynamic richness, by the Mongolian jazz pianist, composer and arranger Shuteen Erdenebaatar. At just 25 years old, Shuteen is already winning awards and selling out renowned venues with her three world-class ensembles: a unique 20-musician chamber ensemble, her exquisite duo "Lightville", and the young, highly sensitive jazz quartet with a powerful rhythm section featured on Rising Sun. This memorable program reveals a rising star of composition and improvisation, reminiscent of greats such as Geri Allen and McCoy Tyner.
